Join Us!The public is encouraged to participate in this community event! Join Active Duty Armed Forces, First Responders, Veterans and others in this fun community-oriented, pre-Veterans Day activity. After registration, we will gather at the Flag Plaza and then step off on a casual 1.8 mile round trip walk up and back down East Fort King Street, with our final destination being the Park Pavilion.
Upon arrival at the Park Pavilion, participants will enjoy a hearty lunch! Mission BBQ will be on hand with their mouth watering pulled chicken and pulled pork sandwiches along with a few sides. Sweet Pea's Bakery & Café will also be supplying their trademark made-from-scratch pastries and Sonic Drive-In will be dishing out their signature Slushies! The good souls of Hospice of Marion County will also be with us to offer resources.
Participants will also receive a gift from the Friends of Marion County Veterans Park Foundation.
